AdOrbit

A small, honest ad network for our own books.

AdOrbit shows book cards from the Atmospheric and High Definition Learning Group catalog on websites whose owners choose to carry them. Nothing is bought, sold or auctioned: sites opt in by pasting one script tag, and every card links to the book's real store page.

For website owners

Paste this where you want a card to appear:

<script src="https://adorbit.pages.dev/ad.js" data-slot="mysite" async></script>

Optional: data-theme="dark" for dark pages. The card is at most 340px wide and inherits nothing from your page (it renders in a shadow root). The snippet is a single small script that makes one request to pick a card. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in the visitor's browser, and reads nothing about them.

One honest caveat: the shadow root keeps the card's markup and styles separate from your page, but it is not a security sandbox. Like any script you add to your site, ad.js runs with your page's full privileges - so install it only because you trust us as its operator. The no-cookies, no-storage behavior above describes the code as published today; it is our commitment, not something your browser enforces.

What shows on your site

Only books from our own catalog, as cards like the one on the demo page. Every card is labelled Ads by AdOrbit, and the link is marked rel="sponsored". We do not show third-party ads, popups, autoplay media, or fake ratings, reviews, countdowns or sales claims. If a card shows a price, it is the store price we verified for that region, with the region and tax named next to it.

What it costs

Nothing, in both directions, while we test: we do not charge advertisers (the ads are our own books) and we do not pay sites. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

What we measure

Today, nothing per visitor. Ad view and click counting exists in the code but is switched off until the owner decides exactly what may be collected. See Privacy for the full picture, including what our hosting provider processes.

Opt back out

Remove the script tag. That is the whole off-switch - nothing persists on your site.
